Currently, we offer tree climbing courses to the youth of our communities, teaching them how to safely and respectfully enter the wondrous world of the canopy. Climbing is an incredible avenue for personal growth, teaching us lessons in perseverance, trust, and wellbeing. The forest creates a limitless environment for young climbers to explore both internally and externally.
We gain so much from the time we spend in the forest, so it is equally as important to us that we give back to the land. We want to ensure that we are not the last generation of tree climbers. Our reforestation projects take place in the southern mountains of Costa Rica and enable us to channel the energy we receive from the trees into productive restorative work.
Palo Vivo would not be what is it if it were not for the incredible support of our communities. We now are turning to our wider circles, asking for support to reach our goals of getting 100 kids tree climbing and 700 trees planted by the end of this year. It takes just $2 to plant a tree, $20 to take a kid climbing, and larger donations help fund bigger projects such as the construction of a tree nursery.
By supporting Palo Vivo you are providing the opportunity for youth to deeply connect with the forest, themselves, and the community, while simultaneously ensuring that future generations will have forests to play in. If you are able to support us, we are so grateful! It is because of you that both Palo Vivo and the future forests are able to grow.
