Support Reforestation and Climbing Education

Palo Vivo is an educational initiative based in Monteverde, Costa Rica with the goal of creating more opportunities for youth to meaningfully connect with the forest. Through education, climbing, and reforestation, we work to help communities better understand and subsequently care for forests. 

By supporting Palo Vivo, you are not only directly contributing to the reforestation of the tropical forests of Costa Rica, but you are also creating the opportunity for the next generation to grow up understanding the true power of this earth and the power they hold in themselves.

Your support goes directly to:

- Care for the trees we plant
We make sure that the saplings we plant in our reforestation projects are visited on a regular basis, to clear other encroaching plants and monitor their wellbeing. This ensures that every tree we plant has the highest chances of survival possible. Your support helps pay members of our community to take care of these young trees!

- Youth tree climbing courses
We teach the youth of our community how to safely and respectfully explore the dynamic activity of tree climbing. Tree climbing provides an opportunity for deep inward and outward exploration, creating an incredible space for meaningful environmental education to take place. Your support helps us to continue to offer these courses and get more kids climbing!
