Hello, on August 6th, my sister Reese was at work when she got the devastating call that no one ever expects: her apartment had caught fire. In just moments, she lost everything. Every memory-filled belonging, every part of her daily life... gone.

But what's been the hardest to even begin to put into words is that she also lost her two beloved cats... her babies, her companions, her emotional support, Bigfoot & Benny. They were truly like children to her, and their absence has left a pain that runs deep and raw.

We're raising funds to help Reese in numerous ways. To help cover the fees of salvaging or disposing of her belongings, and her cost of living as she finds a new apartment. And to help her rebuild her home, comfort, and security. There's so much to replace: clothing, furniture, kitchenware, essentials, and those little things that make a place feel like home.
