Support Reese and the Antrim Family
Donation protected
A few people have reached out to me asking how they can help Reese and her family during this difficult time in their lives. I have been asking myself the same thing and I think if we all come together and donate we can take some of the financial burden off of them while they desperately seek treatment for Reese. Calen would never ask someone else for help but she would be the first to want to help someone else.
I am her best friend, Amanda Stipek and I’ve seen first hand what they have gone through these past 7 years - when Reese’s symptoms first began, followed by their oldest daughter Elle’s diagnosis and now with Reese’s health severely declining. Both girls have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease but they are both affected by it completely different, which means what works for one doesn’t for the other, so they are constantly fighting to find answers to a disease that not many doctors or hospitals know much about. Most tests and treatments are not covered by health insurance so everything they have had to do to help their children, has been out of pocket.
Several months ago, Reese started experiencing tons of pain in her hips and legs. As time went on, it continued to get worse, so much so, that Reese is in excruciating pain daily with little relief. Since the end of November, she has been stuck to a bed because she can’t move on her own. Her health is deteriorating right in front of us. Her pain is so bad, that she has had to take this year off from school. Calen was able to get her into a program called Lyme Stop, at the end of February, but insurance doesn’t cover any of the cost and it needs to be paid in full before they will treat Reese. We are all praying this program will be able to reduce Reese’s pain and continue to help her body heal from this awful disease.
My hope is that we can help their family focus on taking care of Reese and take some of the financial stress off of them.
