Support Reena's Fight Against Cancer

Dear friends and family,

I write this today with a heavy heart and a respectful plea for your prayers and support. My College best friend Reena, was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometrial Cancer back in December 2022. She had already been privately battling this disease for a few months before that and she already went through surgeries (TAHBSO) and biopsies before she finally got this diagnosis.

Since then, she has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy at Metro North Medical Center (Philippines). However, her most recent PET scan showed that there are tumors that had now spread to her peritoneal cavities. She and her family are now facing an overwhelming financial course as she continues her next rounds of chemotherapy, and also possible radiation.

To those who closely know Reena, she's one of the most active, cheerful, and vibrant people you'll ever know. She played varsity basketball in College and was named "Athlete of the Year" during our graduation 14 years ago. She loves to travel, play badminton, and volleyball, and was always the first one to make you laugh and sit with you when you're having a bad day. She's one of the most thoughtful and caring people I know and lucky to call her my "best friend."

Reena is bravely facing this biggest fight in her life and we're all very proud of her. Her family, Raia, friends, and I want to ensure that she receives the best possible care and treatments, without worrying about the mounting medical bills. As you can imagine, the weight of this news is unbearable, but in the face of adversity, Reena has shown incredible strength and resilience as she continues to fight this battle in positive spirits.

She has a tremendously difficult journey ahead of her and it will take a village to support her and her family through this. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a profound difference in her fight against this disease. Your financial support will not only help us ensure that she receives the best available medical care but also provide her with a strong sense of hope and determination to conquer this devastating disease.
