Support Reed through his Top Surgery Recovery

Hello! My name is Reed. I’m a ceramic artist and researcher, and I got life saving gender affirming surgery on October 8th. Despite having insurance, I need help raising money to pay for the surgery itself and to pay my bills during my 6-week recovery period. Anything you can give would be appreciated! All of the proceeds from this GoFundMe will go towards paying my surgery bill, rent for the month of November, and for buying food/supplies for myself and my cat. My cat and I say thank you!

More about me:

I’ve been living as my most authentic self for the past four years, after moving out of my abusive family home in August 2020. I am financially independent, and I have been for almost four years. I pride myself in this, however, large expenses like surgery have threatened my financial stability. Because my own family is not there for me, I must turn to my family in the community for support.

But despite my lack of support, I still let myself thrive. In college, I studied studio art and art history, with a concentration in Ancient Mediterranean studies. I am technically finishing my degree this semester, and between classes and work, I find ways to entertain myself and my friends. I love playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, I love The Legend of Zelda, and I love going to festivals. I am excited to finally be able to attend renaissance fairs as my most authentic self, and hopefully I can get more into my dream of working with movie/TV stunt horses.
