I was hit by a car on December 3rd while walking to work, resulting in multiple soft tissue injuries and a concussion. I am experiencing cognitive and balance impairment, comprehension and memory issues, and chronic migraines from my mild traumatic brain injury. My doctors will not clear me to return to work currently. I am starting 6 weeks of neurological physical therapy and occupational therapy. Then my physiatrist and orthopedic care team will reassess me to determine whether I can return to work in April. I am currently very behind on all my bills, and I've just begun the process of applying for temporary assistance at the DHHS. I need help keeping my gas and electric from shutting off, and I am very behind on rent. Other than brain damage, my biggest concern right now is to maintain housing.
