A couple of weeks ago, I experienced an unfortunate accident, leaving me with a completely ruptured ACL and damaged meniscus. Initially, the surgeon was optimistic, that I may not have to be out of work too long. However, while in surgery he realized the damage was far worse than what was shown on the MRI. Both the medial and lateral portion of the meniscus was torn and needed more work than anticipated. This means the road to recovery will be a little more difficult.

I have already began physical therapy and I am working hard to try and get back to everyday activities. But, at this time I am out of work and will be until the doctor says otherwise. I am the sole provider of my family, so an injury like this is financially scary, to put it point blank.

I am not necessarily asking for assistance with medical bills as I can pay those over time once I get back to work. However, the immediate need for help to cover the monthly bills to keep my family above water while I am out of work is hanging over my head. I know we have an amazing community and I have a great support system so wanted to put this out there and let you amazing people do what you do best!
