On October 18th, a unit on the third floor of the condominium I rent from caught fire and spread to the other units in minutes. The third-floor units all burned down, but a team of 50+ firefighters managed to extinguish the fire before the entire building burned down.

My unit was on the first floor and flooded by how much water was needed to stop the fire.

Everything I own was either damaged by the water coming from the ceiling, the humidity, toxic fiberglass, or the ceiling caving in.

Luckily, both my dogs and I made it out in time and were able to get out of the smoke. They lost everything they loved, too.

One of the most stressful things is not being able to work. My job is fully remote, so I can't start to work until I have a permanent residence for my new equipment to be sent to.

I know times are hard right now, but any little bit will help me and the dogs start to rebuild our lives. We truly lost everything.
