As many of you know, this year has been incredibly rough for me physically. It started with my heart issues, where I was eventually diagnosed with Cardiac Aorta Spasms. This is a condition I will have for the rest of my life and will need to stay medicated for. This month (February), I went down with kidney pain. It turned out that I had a 6mm kidney stone blocking my kidney, and the kidney was swelling up. After 2 surgeries in a 3-week timeframe, we thought it was over. On 2/25/25, I had such terrible pain from my kidney that I could barely walk or stand. We found out today that I may still need another surgery before I am able to begin recovering from this.

As one can imagine, I have missed a ton of work between hospitalization, surgeries, recovery, and just overall symptom management. I have drained what savings we have on copays, medical bills, prescriptions, and taking care of our other bills.

While my job has been understanding, unfortunately, bills and medications are not. I hate asking for help, but I’m now at a point where I must ask.
