On October 22nd, I received the life-changing diagnosis of BRAF-positive papillary thyroid cancer, a more aggressive form of thyroid cancer. To fight this, I’ll be undergoing a thyroidectomy and neck dissection, where surgeons will remove my thyroid and suspicious lymph nodes to give me the best chance of recovery.
What I wasn’t prepared for, though, is how overwhelming the financial burden of cancer treatment can be. In just the past month, I’ve already paid nearly $5,000 out of pocket for biopsies, genetic testing, bloodwork, imaging, and even a deposit for my upcoming surgery. Unfortunately these expenses are just the beginning of this journey.
I’ve always prided myself on being self sufficient and asking for help isn’t easy for me.
If you feel moved to donate, no matter the amount, it would make a world of difference in helping me manage these medical expenses and focus on recovering.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can provide, whether it’s a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping me in your thoughts. Your kindness means everything during this challenging time.❤️
