Hi, my name is Kamesha. I’m reaching out for support for our family in Belmont, Bluefields District, Westmoreland, Jamaica, who were hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that completely destroyed the area. The entire community has been shaken, homes washed away, roofs gone, people displaced. It’s heartbreaking to see the place we love in ruins.

We are trying to help Sana, the father of our sons Menelik and Malachi, along with Uncle Yellow, Auntie Paulette and Cousin, Tanya, who all lost their homes in the storm. Everything they owned was destroyed, and they are trying to rebuild from the ground up.

We are heartbroken by the images and videos of the destruction, and seeing the place and the family we hold so dear torn apart has been deeply painful. Communication has been difficult, and many parts of Bluefields are still without full access. We know the damage is severe, and families are struggling to recover.

This GoFundMe is being created to help them rebuild their homes, replace essentials like clothing, furniture, and food, and find some stability again. Every dollar raised will go directly toward rebuilding for the family.
