About 3 weeks ago, doctors discovered a Stage 0 carcinoma in my left breast. I am having a bilateral mastectomy the beginning of December. Several people said they would like to help or do something, so I thought the easiest action to take would be to create a Go Fund Me. My insurance and supplemental insurance will cover the bulk of the treatment expense (the mastectomy will keep me from having to do radiation and chemo is not necessary for mine). However, there are things that insurance won’t cover that will be beneficial during my recovery (e.g. being able to have my hair washed and straightened once a week, because my muscles will be too tight to allow me to wash it on my own, and bras over various sizes during the reconstruction process).
