On October 25, 2025, my cousin's husband (Adrian) had a tragic accident. He was having a fun night jumping in the pool when the worst thing happened during that one last jump, causing him to hit his head and sink to the bottom of the pool. He was thankfully found by my cousin's brother and rushed to the hospital. They immediately intubated and sedated him. The trauma team did a full workup where they found he aspirated a lot of water and had a broken neck/spinal cord injury to the C5-C6. He was taken into surgery very quickly to repair his neck and spinal cord. He is still currently on a ventilator helping him breathe. They did a trach and feeding tube placement, and we are waiting for his lungs to fully clear and heal up. Thankfully, he is off sedation now, fully coherent, and extremely motivated to heal.

Adrian has a beautiful wife and young sweet little boy relying on him at home. She is a teacher and hasn't left his side since the day it happened. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him and anything or anyone can donate to help this family in a tough time for medical and all-around house expenses would be great.

We are talking months of not just hospital stay but in-patient rehab, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and many more medical equipment that may be needed in the future.
