Support Recovery for a Dedicated Nurse

I have debated and debated; I don’t want to ask for help, but I don't have much of a choice.

I found myself being intubated for 2 days due to asthma post-COVID, which caused damage to my voice box and throat. Now, I am very short of breath and can only walk 10 feet with a walker without getting very short of breath. I have to walk with someone. I am trying to get back on my feet, but it is going to be a long haul. I also have POTS, which has flared up, making me even weaker and making it very hard to move my legs. I am currently on day 10 of hospitalization. I was told I will be out of work for 3-4 months.

I work and help so many people as a nurse. I am at rehab in Troy and hope to build strength. I am still on oxygen. I have two girls to provide for, and my short-term disability will take 4-6 weeks to kick in.
