Help my Recovery and Stability After Hip Surgeries

Hello !!!

I am 66 yrs old and recently divorced after 18 years. I retired from public schools substitute teaching, and I am recovering from having both hips replaced.

My financial woes started spiraling a year ago when hip joints pain forced me to go forward with hip replacement surgery, left hip first after realizing I couldn't bear the pain while working. Then months later the right hip after numerous joint injections failed. I am also dealing with Fibromyalgia nerve pain and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

All during the recovery months I’ve only survived with Social Security each month, leaning on my immediate family to help.

It remains my hope and desire to rebound asap and work part time in some capacity.

Again, the bills are past due as I continue to lean on my immediate family who are also struggling as well.

I had always managed somehow to save for I thought was enough, but unforeseen circumstances took toll.

I'm not yet fully healed, limping and using my cane, but I'm determined to get better. I know I'm too close to experiencing homelessness, as I've seen how quickly it can happen to anyone.

I was hesitant to do this fund me but, I am one who gives to others without hesitation or judgement. And I am not too proud to ask for help now, my mama always said “ask for it, they'll say yes or no”! I'm certain I'll continue to bless others.

Any/all donations will be used to help me get back on track with maintaining and managing my life, and last but not least perhaps follow my dream in opening “PEG ANN’S KITCHEN” diner where I make the best peach Cobbler around the Detroit area.
