On July 7th, my world changed forever. For two weeks before that day, I had been suffering from severe headaches and was told to wait for a neurology follow-up. That morning, my mom found me unresponsive in my bed at home, and I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

What we thought might just be a bad migraine turned out to be something far more serious, a brain bleed. The doctors told my family they weren’t sure I would survive, and they even feared I might already be brain dead. But through the grace of God, and the love and support of my family and friends, I am still here today.

I spent a week in the ICU after having lifesaving brain surgery. Followed by two weeks in the hospital recovering and learning to use my right side again. Then three weeks in rehab where I had to relearn how to walk, write, and even think clearly. What many take for granted, I had to fight to regain.

By God’s grace, I have just been released from the hospital and returned home. While I am beyond grateful for this miracle, the journey has been overwhelming not only physically, but emotionally, and financially. Between hospital bills, ongoing therapy, and the care I still need, the expenses have been more than we can manage alone.
