I was at Panera trying to sell my old phone to pay some bills. An interested party was looking at it, immediately grabbed the phone, and bolted! Instinctively, I explosively got up, only to trip off the curb a second later and land right on my right elbow with my full weight. I immediately got up and continued the chase. He hopped in a forest green car resembling an old Subaru or Honda hatchback with extremely black tinted windows. I caught up just to have the thief drive away. The front plate was missing, and I couldn't get a pic of the car. I filed a report with the Papillion police.
My right arm was dislocated. I made it to the ER where I had it popped back in place, but there is damage to the brachial nerve as well as tears to the labrum and rotator cuff. I'm doing surgery soon but will have some hefty bills and will be out of work for the near future (I do 1 primary, 2 part-time jobs, and teach martial arts at the community center). But I'm staying hopeful and positive!
If you can donate, it will relieve some burden for bills and living expenses. I want to get back on my feet to continue giving back to the community again and get back to working.
I'll keep you updated on the surgery as well as if justice gets served!
