Asa’s New Music EP
Doação protegida
From the moment I took home a simple recorder from choir and started learning songs by ear, I knew I was destined to be a musician. Even before that, I taught myself the drums, mastering the independence between hands and feet. My journey continued with the tenor saxophone, and eventually, I studied bass at the University of Southern California.
Throughout this journey, I played in various bands, honing my songwriting and stage presence at iconic Los Angeles venues like the Troubadour, the El Rey, the Viper Room, and Hotel Cafe.
Then, the pandemic hit, halting live performances and impacting countless musicians. It was a challenging time, but I decided to pursue another passion: clinical psychology. I enrolled in an online graduate program and earned my master's degree, aiming to support the mental health of creatives—musicians, writers, visual artists, and actors.
However, my focus on therapy took me away from my true love: writing songs. It's been since 2019 that I released any original music.
Fast forward to today, and I'm back to writing songs. The process has been emotional, reminding me of how much I love it. I owe it to my future therapy clients to continue my musical journey, recording and releasing music so I can walk the same path as them. Hand to heart, I believe I am expressing my greatest gifts when I write, record, and release music.
I am raising funds to cover the costs of recording, mixing, and mastering four original songs. I am incredibly excited about this project and would be deeply grateful for your support.
As a token of my appreciation, anyone who donates will receive an exclusive acoustic demo of the new material. Please send me a personal message to contribute. Thank you in advance for helping me bring my music to life!
