Twelve-year-old Rebekah Thomas is the kind of girl who lights up every room she enters. She has a beautiful smile, a kind heart, and a creative spirit. She loves drawing, hula hooping, gymnastics, singing worship songs, and spending time with her beloved dog, Ruby. She is the daughter who makes people laugh, encourages those around her, and reminds everyone what childlike faith looks like.

Today, Rebekah is facing the biggest battle of her young life.

She has been diagnosed with multiple masses on her pineal gland, turning what should be a carefree childhood into a journey filled with doctor’s appointments, MRIs, tests, uncertainty, and long trips away from home. Her family is traveling from Montana to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, one of the nation’s leading cancer hospitals, to seek answers and receive the specialized care she desperately needs.

No child should have to endure this.

Yet through every appointment, every difficult conversation, and every unknown, Rebekah continues to inspire everyone around her. Her unwavering faith in God has become a source of strength for her family. She loves worshiping Jesus, and one of her favorite songs, “Stand in Your Love,” has become an anthem of hope during this season. Instead of giving in to fear, Rebekah chooses courage. Instead of losing hope, she continues to believe that God is with her every step of the way.

As parents, there is nothing harder than watching your child suffer while feeling powerless to take the pain away.
