Support Rebecca's Medical Journey and mounting medical bills
Donation protected
Donate to support Rebecca's mounting medical expenses and uninsured medical debt and hospital stays accrued from multiple medical complications and lack of ability to work steadily over the last year. Rebecca is a selfless, hard-working, and loving person who often donates to organizations through church and GoFundMe fundraisers and is not the type of person to ever ask for help. Unfortunately, her medical journey started last January with multiple blood clots in her leg, which led to a series of diagnoses, lack of work, and 8 surgeries. Very recently, on Thursday, February 27th, 2025, Rebecca was admitted to the hospital for an emergency blood transfusion due to an extremely low hemoglobin and anemic state from hemorrhaging blood loss. This is dangerous due to anticoagulants and Pletal medications. Medical bills are upwards of $10,000 and growing. She had six surgeries on her leg to remove her blood clots in January 2024, and unfortunately, they weren't able to remove them all. She was then diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease and Aortitis, which is inflammation of her abdominal aorta lining, as well as Severe Ischemia and Thrombosis of her right leg. She still has clotting in her leg, has lost a lot of her ability to move freely, and has nerve damage from those surgeries. She ended up having compartment syndrome and almost lost her leg. That was difficult in and of itself, but there will be continued surgeries on that leg. Next will be a bypass, which will mean more costs and debt piling up. Rebecca then had another hospital stay and surgery in November 2024 for an ovarian torsion. It was very painful and again more expense and loss of work. As if seven surgeries aren't enough in under a year, Rebecca is currently at St. Cloud trying to restore hemoglobin and iron count after having a blood transfusion and ablation on her uterus. Rebecca has worked her entire life and is trying to maintain a working lifestyle through all this. 100% of any money donated will go directly to medical bills.
Update today I was released from the hospital. I still have a low hemoglobin however, the bleeding is under control and I was able to be released for now with follow-ups scheduled down the road.
