Support Rebecca's Journey Through Recovery

Less than a year ago, I held my father’s hand as he passed away from colon cancer that had spread throughout his body. Now, I find myself on the other side of that hospital bed—diagnosed with breast cancer and preparing for surgery on the 10th, followed by chemotherapy and radiation.

This diagnosis has turned our world upside down. I’m currently unable to work, and while my husband is working hard and pursuing a second job, we’re struggling to make ends meet during this overwhelming time. We’re simply looking for enough support to help us get through this critical stretch so I can focus on healing.

A little about me: I earned my BSN in 2019 and have always been passionate about helping others. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and together we’re raising two amazing kids. Our path hasn’t been easy, but we’ve always done our best to keep going with love and determination. I’ve applied for disability benefits, but like so many others, I’ve found it to be a slow and uncertain process.
