As friends, we come together to start this for Rebecca, Mickey, and the boys. On their behalf, we have permission to do this and go forward with blessing them with any help they can get. Throughout Rebecca’s years, she’s been through it, with Mickey sticking right by her side. He’s missed work, and financially it puts a strain on them, but he is where he needs to be for his wife and two precious boys. Within the last 8 years, Rebecca has overcome thyroid cancer. She battles daily with lupus that puts her in and out of the hospital. Recently, there has been a new medical journey they weren’t ready for financially, physically, or mentally. She is currently in the hospital and at one point was in ICU. She is in a regular room now but later today will go through an extensive surgery that could last up to 5 hours. It’s a very serious and dangerous one. She has 2 cysts on her spinal cord and 4 discs protruding on the spinal cord. This has caused her to have no feeling from her chest to her knees. I know the risk is high and they are stressed to the max, but she doesn’t give up. She pushes to be there for her boys and husband, whether it’s driving all over for their ballgames while sick or watching on her phone every play.

If we as a community could pull together and take some of the burden off of them, it would help tremendously. Mickey is off work and at the hospital with her for her surgery. That’s both incomes gone. Hospital stays aren’t cheap as you have hospital bills, food, gas, and time without pay. Anything could help at this point. They just wrote a check for all of their savings for her surgery. Please help, even if it’s small, bring some peace to a family who is very deserving of it.
