Support Rebecca McMahon's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
This is a fundraiser about supporting Rebecca McMahon—Mike's wife and the mother of their children, Isaac and Ella. You also know Rebecca as your sister, your friend, your daughter, your niece, your cousin, your hairdresser/hair-apist, your bandmate, your music director, your gym buddy. You wouldn't know it by looking at her, but she's been in a stand-off with cancer for about 18 months. She runs on faith and encouragement and we thought this would be a great way to remind her and show her that everyone is still praying for her and supporting her fight.

There are several ways you can support the McMahons during this battle. First, and most important, is to provide prayer support. Another way to support is to provide a financial donation via this Go Fund Me page. Lastly, you can purchase a specially designed t-shirt to support Rebecca. Read Rebecca's story below (written by her husband Mike) and find out more about the t-shirt that is available for purchase at the following link:

Rebecca's Story (written by Mike McMahon)
On March 4th, 2024, our lives were forever changed when my beautiful 45-year-old wife, Rebecca, was diagnosed with rectal cancer later described in more detail as "unresectable and incurable." In that moment, our world shifted—but Rebecca’s faith didn’t. Her strength, courage, and trust in God remained unwavering, and immediately, a community of prayer warriors rallied around her.

From the beginning, we’ve known this fight is more than physical—as a matter of fact, it’s MOSTLY spiritual. We’ve also known we would never be fighting alone. All around us, family, friends, and even strangers, have suited up with us and stood beside us. Praying. Encouraging. Supporting. They/You are those we now refer to as our Armor Bearers.

Ephesians 6:10–18 urges us to “...be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes...” The passage further speaks of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God as our armor in spiritual warfare.

Even in the midst of chemotherapy, radiation, doctor appointments, and the emotional toll of this journey, Rebecca bravely puts on her armor daily and continues to pour herself out for others. She’s a devoted mother to our two teenagers, an amazing hairdresser, and an anointed music director at our church—
faithfully leading worship and encouraging others while marching through the hardest season of her life. To honor this incredible woman and the army of faith-filled warriors standing with her, and to help with some of the financial burden of cancer treatment, I have designed t-shirts that read:
“Rebecca & The Armor Bearers — March Forth”
“Rebecca & The Armor Bearers” was coined by our very musically talented brother-in-law, Robert, who started a Spotify playlist by this fictitious band-inspired name (think Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers or Prince & The Revolution, etc). The playlist currently consists of about 8 hours of God-honoring worship—
mostly songs we’ve been inspired by or have sung together at family prayer gatherings over the last year and a half. Check it out, save it, download it, shuffle it, exercise to it, fall asleep to it and wake up to it...whatever, just be inspired by it and worship the Lord to it wearing your new shirts. You are forever our band of brothers and sisters! I’ve also re-created the playlist on Amazon Music so you can find it there as well. Stay tuned for additions.

Back to the shirts. Obviously, these shirts are more than just fabric and ink—they are a symbol of faith, unity, and strength. We believe every shirt sold represents someone standing with Rebecca, praying for healing, and believing that God is greater than cancer. The shirts are a super soft Bella Canvas brand shirt that is a unisex fit (not slim-fit, but semi-fitted) and come in SIX (6) different color schemes, sizes XS-4XL. Also, Youth sizes are available for the black shirt and the blue shirt.

All proceeds from the shirts will go toward medical expenses, bills, and ongoing care as we continue our God-given directive from Day 1: MARCH FORTH through this battle together (see diagnosis date above and read that again — surely not a coincidence).
