Hello all! Rebecca Fisher, my aunt, was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma recently. She had a small bump under her skin, near her nose and after biopsy, was confirmed as cancer. The tumor is in her maxillary sinus which went to her gums/jaw.

She will be having a 10-hour surgery in two weeks at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to remove the cancer and reconstruct the area of her face that will be affected by the removal of the cancer.

Rebecca has spent her life taking care of others as a CNA, as well as her family, including her daughter Kaylie, sons Mark and Matthew and husband Sean. Now, she needs our help as the medical bills begin pouring in. They have insurance, but it doesn’t cover nearly enough. She will be out of work for about three months between the surgery, radiation and chemo.

Anything you can give, big or small, would be very greatly appreciated in this time of need.

UPDATE 11/22/24

Rebecca just received the date of her surgery: December 2nd. She will then begin chemo/radiation 6 weeks after the surgery.
