Reagan Knight, for 18 years, has been one of the greatest people you could ever meet. For many of those years, she has been one of my best friends, like a sister to me.
About 3 weeks ago Reagan had chest pains during soccer practice, which led to the discovery that she was born with an Anomalous Right Coronary artery. In basic terms, her Right Coronary Artery grew in the wrong place. This rare condition requires her to undergo open-heart corrective surgery in the coming year. Some of you may be familiar with the sons of Labron James and Shaquille O’Neal, who both had this same rare heart condition.
At this time there are still several details to be worked out regarding her surgery. Because this is a rare condition, she will have to travel out of state to a special cardiac surgery center to have the procedure. As of now she has been cleared to finish her soccer season at Spring Hill College.
Reagan has touched the lives of so many people. Whether that be through her many years of playing soccer, her time volunteering, or just a smile and a wave around town or on campus at McGill Toolen and now Spring Hill College. She has always been there for others and has always put others before herself.
