I am the father of an amazing son and Jiu Jitsu athlete, 12-year-old Reagan, [email redacted]zu.wolf. Reagan trains Jiu Jitsu and conditions 6 days weekly and has for 2 straight years now into his journey. He competes 1-2 times monthly year-round at all PNW competitions and is the #1 seed in his age and weight divisions. He recently graduated to an advanced competition team at a high-level academy that is invite-only with the very best youth athletes in the region. And now, he is registered to compete June 28th at the American National Jiu Jitsu Championships 2025 and August 30th at the Jiu Jitsu Con International Championships 2025, both in Las Vegas. These are his first big shots at winning the biggest youth championships in the country! His goals of becoming a world champion and professional athlete have become his passion. His dedication and commitment are relentless. Thus far, he has 111 match wins, 91 wins by submission, and 21 losses. Great scorecard for his first 18 months of competition! Proud dad!
Though, I-dad have just been hit with an immediate financial emergency, as I have just lost my caregiving client and good friend Greg, 90 years old, a 40+ year Army/Navy veteran who just passed last week suddenly. Greg lived with my family for 1 1/2 years as I cared for him 24/7. Greg was a very dear friend of mine; he was a great man who served our country for decades. We will truly miss Greg ❤️. But I am suddenly in between jobs with no income. My income as a caregiver is not much as it is, and until I can get another veteran client to care for, which can take a month, my savings for Reagan's Jiu Jitsu fees have come to a halt and must be used for next month's rent, bills, groceries, and fuel. His scheduled national championship registrations for this summer are already paid for, and it all starts in 2 weeks! Now we are unable to fund the travel, housing, and food costs.
I will have to cancel his championship dreams for this summer if I cannot raise the funds we need for travel and expenses immediately.
Jiu Jitsu is not a cheap sport. I've mostly given up my own hobby time and costs to feed my son his dream every day. Caregiving is not a very profitable career and not a very easy job to do, but I really love taking care of the old-timers who selflessly served our country for us all to be free.
-I've never done this before. But the timely circumstances forced me to give this a chance. My son will be devastated, as will I, if he doesn't get to compete at his IBJJF Championships this summer, where he's likely to pick up some great sponsors! He's been training so hard and winning all his local comps this past year to get to the big stage!
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping him achieve his dreams!! Any amount helps!!
