My Journey Through Law School – Faith, Setbacks, and Perseverance
Hi, my name is Raysean Lockhart. Through God’s grace, perseverance, and support from others, I will be returning to law school this August to continue pursuing my dream of becoming an attorney.
This journey has not been easy. Over the past year, I have faced academic challenges, financial hardship, uncertainty, and moments that tested my faith deeply. There were times I questioned everything. But through prayer, resilience, and refusing to give up, I was blessed with the opportunity to continue my legal education and keep moving toward the purpose I believe God placed on my life.
As a first-generation law student, former teacher, mentor, and someone who has worked in the criminal justice field, serving others has always been important to me. Becoming an attorney represents more than a career—it represents advocacy, justice, and being able to stand for people who may not always have a voice.
I am currently seeking support as I prepare to return to law school in August. My student loans will not begin disbursing until classes resume, and in the meantime I am struggling with expenses such as rent, relocation costs, books, school supplies, transportation, and basic living necessities needed to transition back successfully.
My goal is to raise funds to help ease this burden so I can return to school focused and stable rather than worrying about immediate financial obstacles.
If you feel led to support, any amount—large or small—would mean more than I can express. If giving is not possible, sharing this fundraiser or keeping me in your prayers would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for supporting my journey. And thank you for helping me continue moving toward the calling God has placed on my life.
With gratitude,
Raysean Lockhart
