*Update*
It is with a heavy heart I share this update. Shortly after Rays arrival at hospice, he gained his angel wings. He is now free of pain and watching over Amanda and the girls. Please continue to keep them in your prayers and wrap them in your love as they navigate the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. *********************************
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister Amanda, her husband Ray, and their daughters Kaylee and Aubrey. About a year ago, Ray was diagnosed with Stage 4 angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that has progressed rapidly. After exhaustive treatment options and consultations, his medical team has determined that any further treatments would do more harm than good. With heavy hearts, the family is now preparing for the next phase, hospice care.
This transition is about making Ray’s remaining time as comfortable, peaceful, and dignified as possible. Hospice will allow him to spend these moments surrounded by love, with his family by his side.
Why We Need Your Help:
The financial burden of end-of-life care is immense. Hospice expenses and medical costs are adding up quickly – and sadly, not all services are fully covered by insurance. In addition, the emotional and financial toll on the family is significant, as Amanda has been taking time off work to be by his side. We are asking for your help to ease some of this burden. Your contribution, no matter how small, will directly support:
- Hospice Care
- Respite care for family members
- Final expenses and memorial preparations
A Life Full of Love and Strength
Ray has always been a pillar of strength, compassion, and humor – a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend. Even in the face of this diagnosis, his courage has been unwavering. He has fought EVERY SINGLE DAY for more time with his girls.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others. Prayers are also greatly appreciated. Every gesture of support helps them focus on what matters most: Spending meaningful, loving time with Ray in his final days.
