Help Ray Fight Lung Cancer

Hi everyone,

My name is Vanessa, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help supporting my brother, Ray, as he faces the biggest challenge of his life: lung cancer.

Ray lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico, but has to travel regularly to Phoenix, Arizona, to see his team of doctors. He was diagnosed in June, and our family’s world turned upside down overnight.

Ray is a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He’s also an incredibly talented database engineer who has always worked hard to accomplish his goals and to take care of everyone around him. Anyone who knows Ray will tell you he is funny, intelligent and completely devoted to his family.

What makes this diagnosis even more shocking is that Ray hasn’t smoked a day his life. Despite this, he is now facing an aggressive form of lung cancer that requires extensive treatment, involving specialized care in Phoenix, and medications that insurance does not fully cover. On top of the medical bills, the costs of travel, lodging, and time away from work are overwhelming.

We are setting up this fundraiser to help cover:

• Medical expenses and treatments

• Travel and lodging for appointments in Phoenix

• Prescription medications

• Everyday bills while Ray is unable to work
