Help Ray — A Nonverbal Autistic Teen — Fight Leukemia

Hi, my name is Rita, and I’m raising funds for my son, Ray, a kind-hearted, brave,

and gentle 19-year-old who is currently fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — an aggressive blood cancer that has turned our world upside down.

Since diagnosis, Ray has gone through:

Intensive chemotherapy

Numerous blood and platelet transfusions

Difficult side effects he can't easily express in words

Long, exhausting hospital stays

Now his doctors are preparing him for a bone marrow transplant, which is his best chance at survival.

Why We Need Help:

Caring for Ray during this process involves 24/7 support, communication tools, sensory accommodations, and a calm, stable environment — all while navigating the emotional and physical toll of cancer.

We are facing mounting costs, including:

Time off work to be with Ray full-time

Long hospital stays and travel

Medical bills not fully covered by insurance

Post-transplant recovery supplies, medications, and home safety changes

Special care needs for Ray's autism during treatment
