My name is Raynasha Black, and I was born and raised in Springfield, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. This community is my home — my heart — and right now, my family and our neighbors in Springfield and nearby Claremont are facing devastating loss.
Hurricane Melissa have destroyed homes, washed away crops, and left families with nothing. Many people are living without shelter, food, or clean water — and they have yet to receive government assistance.
These are my family, friends, and childhood neighbors. People who were raised with me, supported me, and made Springfield the close, loving community it is. Seeing them struggle like this is heartbreaking.
That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe, to bring urgent relief directly to them.
I will personally travel to St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to distribute all funds and supplies myself to the families most in need. Every dollar donated will go directly toward food, water, medical supplies, clothing, and building materials to help them rebuild and recover.

Why I’m Asking for Your Help
Springfield and Claremont are small but strong communities. Even in the face of disaster, they support one another with what little they have. But right now, they need help to survive and rebuild.
I will be going personally to Jamaica to ensure funds are distributed transparently and directly to those who need it most; families with children, the elderly, and those who’ve lost their homes completely.
Your donation will help restore not just homes, but hope.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us and helping these affected communities in Jamaica rebuild.
