Hello, my name is Rayna. I’m from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and throughout this year, I have been attending a discipleship school, Branch Discipleship School, to be exact. I’m currently raising a donation that will help aid me in a missions trip to Costa Rica.

This will be my first missions trip! I’m super excited for what God has in store. I’ve been a born-again believer for about 3 years, and ever since coming to Christ, I have been pursuing and wanting to understand God’s heart as a Father and to learn what His heart is for ALL people. I do believe that as a believer, where God has placed me, wherever it may be in the present, is my mission field, whether it is in the States at home or internationally. That’s a constant heart posture and mindset that the Lord has been reminding me of for the past few years, and it has honestly been life-changing in regards to the way I live and actively participate in any ministry in my community.

First and foremost I am very passionate about Jesus Christ and wanting everybody to know and understand God’s heart for them. The gospel is THE GOOD NEWS. It is the one things that transcends all races, cultures, backgrounds, economic and social status, etc. I am from the city and grew up in drug/gang culture over the past couple years i have met SO many people from people who have lived wild/extreme lives to very strict and conservative groups and to be able to grow in my understanding of Gods love and desire for all people has really pushed me to have the same desire to want to see people free from bondage, sin, depression, abuse, etc. across the board whether you pop guns or are choked by any kind of oppression or control. God offers freedom and anything that witnesses to the power and glory of Christ Jesus and his resurrecting power from the cross is something worth being passionate about.

To be able to apply what I have been learning practically in everyday life has been amazing, and to be able to exercise and apply it in international missions is something I’ve never done before but would be a great learning experience.

For travel, lodging, etc., the trip would cost approximately $2000.
