Support Raymonta's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Raven Smith. On Memorial Day, my brother got into a very bad car accident and was ejected out of the car. There are many injuries that followed including a broken leg, arm, and wrist on the right side, a traumatic brain injury, and due to how hard he hit the ground, some hearing loss in the right ear.

After the accident, he was flown out to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was in a coma for 1 week. He had multiple surgeries (over 10) in the first week. Fast forward to today, he is doing a lot better than before but still has a long road of recovery in front of him. The doctors don’t know the extent of the brain injury until the swelling fully goes down on his brain.

Raymonta was full of life and very independent. He has had his own apartment for three years now and worked two full-time jobs to maintain his life. My mother and I are doing the best we can trying to keep everything he had when he got in the accident but in this economy, help is definitely needed.

We are asking for donations to pay his rent up (950$)a couple of months and house bills. Also, after he leaves the hospital, he is going to need round-the-clock care for about 3-4 months, which will mostly be our mother so that will make her miss a lot of work and make things even harder. The last thing we want him to do is fall into depression thinking the things he worked so hard for are no longer there once he recovers.

I pray every day for a speedy recovery and that he comes back to being the full of life and amazing person that he was.
