My name is Raymond Goins, and I am a Native of East Side San Jose, and have used my unique lived experience to advocate for justice for all people that face systemic oppression. I do this because I have faced extreme levels of systemic oppression since the day I was born, which led me to spend more time in a prison cell than I have been alive out of one. I have dedicated my life to fight against those who believe in holding power over people at the expense of ruining communities. I have continued to use my voice and my experiences to give voice to the voiceless, to create equality between the haves and have nots.

I had the job of my dreams which allowed me to go back into the place I called home for so long (Jail) to provide my old neighbors Hepatitis C treatment. It was an opportunity to give hope to the hopeless. However I lost that job due to the Sheriff's Dept taking my jail clearance away the day after I participated in a rally in front of the jail. Then my room at my house caught fire which caused the sprinkler system to go off and ruin everything as it flooded my home to stop the spread of the flames. And then my car was tampered with and broken into, and is on the verge of breaking down .

I am asking for assistance in helping me obtain a vehicle that is reliable so that I can go see my son who lives with his mother 2 hours away. And one that is safe so I can transport him in. I have spent my life trying to fight for my freedom. Now I find myself fighting for the right to be a father to my son and getting my life stable so that I can provide my son stability as well. Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated it.
