Raymond is one of the most humble and giving people I know. Despite facing serious health challenges—he’s disabled and has heart issues—he never hesitates to help others. He works for food or gas, doing whatever he can to get by, and even when he has very little, he still finds ways to support those around him. Last night, when I told him that people wanted to help, he was overwhelmed with emotion. He cried, not out of self-pity, but because he was so touched by the kindness of others. Raymond kept saying thank you, unable to believe that people cared enough to reach out. I reminded him that the world is full of good people, and that help comes from empathy, sympathy, and compassion. He is truly deserving of that support.

Right now, Raymond needs some essentials to get through this difficult time. He could use a generator, gas for his old truck, clothing, and other daily necessities. These are things many of us take for granted, but for Raymond, they would make a world of difference. He’s not one to ask for help, but I know that with the support of this caring community, we can show him just how much he matters. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Raymond meet his basic needs and remind him that he’s not alone.
