Raymond and Jacki Lost Their Home
Donation protected
My cousin Raymond Jacobs and his wife Jacki were traveling from Massachusetts to Florida pursuing a dream they had had for many years. The dream is to build their own home on their land in Florida. The RV being towed with them was a big part of that dream. They intended to live in the RV while building their house.
Just a few days into the trip, a speeding semi-truck passed them and even with sway bars attached the RV began to sway. Heroic efforts on Raymond's part to come out of it did not work. The RV and truck jackknifed, and the RV flipped.
Thankfully, there were no injuries, and no other vehicles were involved. The EMS told them they were lucky to be alive since usually the truck would have rolled as well. However with the RV totaled, many possessions destroyed, and carrying two loans this hardworking couple is devastated emotionally and in a big bind financially. Hopefully some donations (no amount too small!) can help get their lives back on track.
Raymond and Jacki are homeless right now. Any money raised will be used to get them some place to live. They want to rent an apartment until hurricane season is over after which they plan to live in their pop-up camper with a portable toilet and solar shower. That pop-up camper needs repairs as well. They are mitigating replacing their lost personal possessions by selling one of their cars and other items.
