Help Us Save Raya Reign

Many of you know and love our Campbell’s Family Dobermans. Just one week ago, we lost our beloved Ember Reign far too soon, and now we’re facing another heartbreaking fight.

Raya Reign, Ember’s granddaughter, is only 6 months old—full of sweetness, loyalty, and the promise of a bright future. Sadly, what started as a simple paw injury has turned into a devastating infection. Despite immediate veterinary care, antibiotics, and bandage changes, the infection has spread, and her tissue has now become necrotic.

On Friday, our vet thought it was a puncture wound and declined my request to lance it. As an ICU nurse, I feared compartment syndrome, and by the next morning, my fears were confirmed. Raya required emergency surgery to lance and drain the infection at Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Services in Allen Park. She’s been fighting hard with antibiotics and pain control ever since—but today, the tissue damage has advanced to the point that she now faces urgent surgical debridement and possibly even amputation of her paw to save her life.

We are en route right now to Wilson’s Emergency Veterinary in Washington, MI. My personal estimate for her care is $4,000+, on top of the $2,000 we’ve already spent in just the past few days. Once we receive the official estimate from the hospital, I will update this page so everyone can see exactly what we’re facing.

Raya is the sweetest soul—you can see Ember’s legacy in her gentle eyes. She deserves her chance to run, play, and grow up with the rest of her pack. We simply cannot bear another loss so soon after Ember.
