Just a year and a half ago, Ray graduated college and embarked on his adult career, excited for what the future held. Recently, as Ray was beginning his journey as a bodybuilder, his coach encouraged him to get blood work. This routine step unexpectedly revealed devastating news—at just 24 years old, Ray was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), and life changed in an instant.

CML is a rare type of blood cancer that affects the bone marrow and blood cells, leading to the overproduction of abnormal white blood cells. It is often treated with targeted therapies, but the journey can be complex and requires ongoing medical care.

Ray is a lively and ambitious young man with a love for drawing, singing, playing guitar, and maintaining his fitness. This diagnosis has been a heavy blow, especially as he was just starting to pursue his fitness goals. Ray has already begun his treatment for CML, which requires extensive, ongoing care.
