My brother, Ray Sanchez, has been a generous and loving community member for decades. He was able to help families in their time of need in any way that he could; from preparing meals, donating his time, and offering his help with anything that was needed. Now he needs your help.

Four and a half years ago, in January 2020, before we were aware of the presence of the covid pandemic, his wife, Linda, became severely ill and was hospitalized. That has changed their lives in so many ways. She had been in and out of the hospital multiple times and consequently, Ray could no longer care for her at home. She is now in a long-term care facility, 60 miles from their home. Ray visits her almost every day. Her illness is terminal, and it is a hardship for him. The problems have compounded due to Ray’s own medical issues.

As a family, we are doing everything we can to help them during these challenging times. Now he needs his community’s help to get him through this. He had been able to provide for their basic needs, but, is now unable to work and can no longer do so. Essential bills have accumulated, and his vehicles are in disrepair. Between doctor visits and hospital trips, to provide the loving care she needs, finances have gotten more and more difficult with time.
