Support Ray Morris' Recovery After Accident
Donation protected
I first wanted to thank everyone who has taken a moment to send prayers and assistance to our family at this time. We are so very grateful for all the love and support.
My brother, Ray Morris, was in a motorcycle accident on Saturday October 19th at 2:30pm. Ray went for a test drive to see if an issue had been fixed when the front wheel of the bike locked up causing him to lose control. There was a couple who immediately took care of him until EMS arrived. They are true angels for everything they did. He was transported to Chippenham where he has been in the MSTICU in a medically induced coma. He sustained multiple injuries: 6 right sided rib breaks, grade 2 cerebral vascular injury, nasal bone fracture, right sided scapula fracture, small pneumothorax, and small subarachnoid hemorrhage. We are uncertain of neurological deficits at this time. The wake up process will be slow and methodical as to ensure he responds appropriately. If he progresses like we hope and is able to support his own respiratory drive, he will be taken off the ventilator and then next steps will be determined.
I again want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. Ray has a wife, Megan, and 3 children (7, 5 and 2). They are in great hands but miss their father so very much. We continue to ask for prayers that Ray recovers quickly.
