Send Ray to Nicaragua!

To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

For those of you who know me, Hi and thanks so much for the support. But if we aren't friends yet, let me tell you a bit about myself and more importantly the central role that Jesus has played in my life.

My name is Ray and I am a Junior at Pepperdine who has experienced God's transformative grace like many of you. I grew up in a secular family that immigrated to the U.S from China in 2012 which is when started to learn about Jesus through attending church. Yet, from 2012 until Covid, I was by no means a disciple. Everyday, I dealt with unprocessed trauma, loneliness, and fear that led me down sinful paths yielding even more brokenness. Through God's grace, I finally realized how lost my soul was in late 2020 during the pandemic and turned to Jesus for a drastic change.

Now we are here. Although I'm still very much a goon with a sinful heart, I confidently know who I am and how loved I am.

Nowadays, loving others the way Jesus loved me encompasses my whole life. I hope you can partner with me in ministry through prayer and financial generosity as I strive to extend the unconditional and furious love of God to the people of Nicaragua as an overseas missonary alongside my team this summer.

-ABOUT KCM & STSM:

Kristos Campus Missions (KCM) -a campus ministry that disciples collegians to value the glory of God through local and global missions- I will have the privilege to serve the nation of Nicaragua through their short-term summer missions (STSM) program.

Throughout July, my team and I will support the local missionaries there in a variety of ministries: Medical care, English teaching, VBS, church encouragement, and more.

-WHY NICARAGUA:

Nicaragua is the second most impoverished nation in the Americas needing lots of restoration in many places.

Although Nicaragua is mostly Catholic, the majority unfortunately only know and believe in the prosperity Gospel due to the vast poverty.

-HOW TO HELP:

To make this trip happen, I need to raise $1800 by 5/5 (mid-deadline) and a total of $3600 by 6/25)
