Honoring Iva Jean Mclamb Carter & Supporting Ray Carter, my friend from work who I admired and love very much.

On January 22nd, our beloved Iva Jean Mclamb Carter passed away after bravely fighting cancer for many years. Just a day earlier, my dear friend Ray Carter—her husband of 50 years—turned 70. Their love story was one of strength, devotion, and unwavering partnership. Losing her after his birthday has been devastating to him, his children, and all who knew her.

Iva was a true warrior. She endured countless treatments and fought with a courage that inspired everyone around her. Her most recent battle required a massive surgery in hopes of saving her life, and Ray did everything a loving husband could to support her. To keep Iva close to the hospital during recovery, Ray left the camper he had been living in and rented a home so she could have a safe, comfortable place nearby.

Ray has worked for our company for 25 years, and even in his 70s, he continued working 40 hours a week, refusing to retire because he wanted to give Iva everything she needed during her fight. His devotion was unmatched, but now, after such an unexpected and heartbreaking loss, the financial burdens left behind are overwhelming.
