Support Ray Askins' Final Expenses

My friend, Ray W. Askins, Jr., passed away on June 17, 2025. Ray had been an insurance agent since the early 1970's.

I met Ray in 1970 when we both worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Pomona. Ray subsequently enjoyed a successful career with Prudential Insurance Company in Claremont, CA.

Ray subsequently opened his own independent agency which he operated for years.

He was at Onvida Hospital in Yuma, Arizona, at the time of his death. Fortunately, I did visit Ray 2 weeks ago. Ray was 83 years old and had a very weak heart and liver cancer. Ray leaves behind 3 ex-wives and a number of children.

Ray retired from the insurance business and moved to Mexicali where he became a civic leader and a passionate advocate

for human rights and environmental reforms. He did much to bring attention to the needs of the people of Mexicali. As a civic leader, Ray will be sorely missed.

Because Ray's children do not have the resources for his final expenses, I am seeking help from friends and associates who knew and perhaps worked Ray.. Any amount you can contribute whether it be $10 or $100 it is greatly appreciated.

I was Ray's friend for 53 years. I will miss him.
