Ray has just lost the love of his life. His wife, Lori, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. They shared 39 years of marriage together, building a life, a home, and countless memories side by side.

Like many families, their household depended on two incomes. With Lori’s passing, Ray is now facing the sudden financial strain of managing everything on his own while also grieving the person who meant the most to him.

As Ray navigates this heartbreaking loss, family and friends are coming together to help him stay in the home filled with memories of Lori and the life they shared. This fundraiser is simply meant to give Ray some breathing room while he adjusts to life without her.

Anyone who knows Ray knows the kind of person he is. He has always been a bright light to so many people. During Lori’s illness he stood by her side with unwavering love and strength, and over the years he has shown the same care and kindness to friends and family.

Ray has captured more than 900,000 photos over the years and shared them on Flickr, preserving memories for countless people. Many of us have received his thoughtful birthday messages on Facebook, often paired with photos he has pulled from his incredible archive. That’s just who Ray is — someone who makes people feel remembered and valued.

Ray has also always been a hard worker. Many of us still remember his entrepreneurial spirit back in high school. If you had a chocolate craving, you knew exactly who to find — Ray was the one selling candy and making everyone smile.

Ray has spent so many years giving his time, kindness, and energy to others. Now, during this incredibly difficult time, we hope to give something back to him.
