It's official: our parents' Altadena home is a total loss. Still, they feel fortunate to have each other, and to be in the gentle care of generous friends in Pasadena, where they spend their days filling out forms, redirecting mail, making calls, and searching for rentals in their beloved Pasadena. Dad says they cost double their mortgage, and are mostly "varying shades of awful."

Yes, their home was perfect, but our first and foremost hope for them is moments of balance and rest in an upside-down world. Now in their 80's, they have no desire to rebuild, but they'll need just about every single thing. Please help them settle into a new temporary place to call home while the financial smoke clears. Every single dollar, share, and "like" makes a difference.
