UPDATE 11/19/25: Ray has his ticket to Hilo locked in. He arrives in Hilo HI 11/20/25 in the evening.

I am setting up a Go Fund Me account for my hanai brother Ray. As many of you know, Ray has been living in LaPine with my family. His wife Renee, passed away yesterday November 17th at 3:05pm HST from a massive heart attack.

Renee had been battling multiple medical issues since August. She was hospitalized in the middle of September at Queens Medical Center until she was transferred to a physical rehabilitation center on the north shore where she spent 4 1/2 weeks. She had to learn how to walk again due to medical complications. Once home back on the Big Island she was having trouble walking and trying to be self sufficient again but she was still unable to walk. Close friends would find her on the floor, unable to help herself. She was home 7 days and during a physical therapy session at home, she suffered a heart attack. We are grateful for the proper medical care who was with her, who administered medical care immediately and called for transport.

Then Ray got the call from the hospital…

Ray has had medical issues himself and unfortunately does not have the means to take care of this unfortunate situation.
