We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support during one of the most difficult battles a member of our community is facing. Ravindra Bohra is bravely fighting a cancerous brain tumour, a diagnosis that was soon followed by a life-altering stroke. In a matter of weeks, life changed completely. What was once filled with routine and dreams is now consumed by ER visits, painful treatments, and constant uncertainty.

Ravindra Bohra, 45 years was born and raised in Nepal and is currently living in Langley, British Columbia. He is a cherished member of our Nepali community ;a humble, kind-hearted, and hardworking individual who has always stood by others in times of need. Today, Ravindra needs that same compassion returned.

He has already undergone 40 radiation treatments, enduring immense physical and emotional pain that no one should ever have to go through.

Although Ravindra has now been discharged from the hospital, the tumour and stroke have affected his basic abilities such as memory, movement and independence. Every day brings physical pain, emotional exhaustion, and the fear of what tomorrow may bring. Amid this, he lost his beloved father recently, and despite everything his will to live and flight remains strong. He has been under ongoing medical care and is currently unable to work. He believes deeply that he will beat cancer but he cannot do it alone. Most of his medical expenses are covered but some of them didn’t work for him and his medical team had to switch to other medicine which are not covered. Ravindra is in huge hole financially.

Cancer does not only take a toll on the body; it brings overwhelming financial strain along with everyday living expenses, Ravindra is facing additional costs related to medical care, medications, transportation to treatments, recovery needs, and other essential expenses,all while trying to focus on healing.

This fundraiser is being organized with the support of the Nepal Cultural Society of BC (NCSBC) and NRN BC to help Ravindra during this incredibly difficult chapter of his life. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting him with treatment-related and recovery expenses, easing the burden so he can focus on regaining his health and strength.

Ravindra is willing to provide any additional information if needs be and this campaign is being shared with full transparency, honesty, and community support.
