Hello, my name is Raven Carey!

I'm 36 years old and reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm a full-time Teacher Assistant at Tutor Time Childcare Center, and also involved in the theater community during my time away from work. I've lived in Grand Rapids for 14 years. Since I've lived in Grand Rapids, I have had multiple different jobs, but some of those jobs didn't work out for me. Not having a job that pays well made it hard for me to keep the places I could live in. I struggle with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and ADHD. Battling with those disabilities made it hard and challenging to get through an 8-hour shift, which caused me to be unemployed in the end due to extreme anxiety over what the job asked from me. Now that I have found a job that can still be a bit stressful and overwhelming sometimes, I found joy in it as I never have done anything like that before with any type of employment I've had. Since I've found that job and haven't received my first paycheck yet, the amount of money I'm asking for is to help me move into a place as soon as possible. Right now, I have been sleeping from couch to couch at some of my friends' houses, but once I have the funds to move into a place I've already have in mind, I don't have to continue to do that and can actually have a decent living space for my belongings and for my well-being.
