Support Raven's Family Through Tough Times

My name is Raven. My family and I are having a rough time financially. We moved to North Carolina for an opportunity for me to be a stay at home mom and complete our little family here. Unfortunately, the move came with much hardship. My husband had a horrible boss, work environment and not enough support. He lost his job as a Store Manager shortly after we found out I was pregnant with our 3rd child. He was able to get a job soon after with UPS but they only offered part time work and wouldn’t start until Mid November. Once working, his paychecks were only $250. Our mortgage alone is a little over $1400. There’s been time when food was scarce, and we are so grateful for the food banks we have had to visit to make sure we all were fed. I applied for Snap in July and wasn’t approved until Jan 2025. We have had great support from Andrew’s family and great support during Christmas to ensure our kids had a magical holiday. After Christmas Andrew lost the job he had driving with Amazon as it was temporary for the holiday. We are trying to hard to find a good paying job to support our family. I went back to work as a substitute teacher but with the cost of childcare I can only work when I do not have doctor appointments or Andrew is not working. Additionally, there’s not much guaranteed work as a substitute. Since starting as a sub, I have made $240. Andrew has donated plasma everyday he can for the last few weeks so we could get essentials like gas. We have to drive our son, Clark, to and from school everyday. Andrew has had several interviews but no one has given him a start date yet. I have been applying to full time positions as well. I have a great opportunity to become a licensed insurance agent with the flexibility to continue to be the main caregivers to my children. The training for this is 2-3 weeks and about $400 for the cost of the license and exams. Andrew has two potential jobs lined up, driver for Amazon and 911 dispatch for the city. Either one will not have a paycheck for at least 2 weeks after his start day. We have many bills to pay and a ton we are behind on. The main thing is to pay the essentials . We are asking for donations and support so that we can have a roof over our head, water, heat, transportation and electricity for the next month.
